Okay, so it doesn’t have Dual-channel DDR support. Are you sure it isn’t just a bad ethernet cable? As far as I can tell, the only difference is the lack of nForce onboard video.

I’ve seen a few of these boards now that wouldn’t run at or auto, but since your cable modem is only a 10Mb anyway, setting it to force 10 full duplex will still result in full speed from the modem. When I had it installed, the installer person noticed this, and connected it to USB instead which is working fine, just would prefer to use Ethernet I got the most updated Nforce drivers, and nada, I connect the cable modem to the Ethernet port, and nothing happens.
